Our Story
Maaklik began with a love for making things by hand and for the everyday moments we share around the table.
Each piece is made by hand, so no two are exactly the same. The small variations are part of the process and part of what makes each piece feel personal and that’s the point.
Our ceramics are designed to be used, simple, yet elevating. From morning coffee to shared meals, they’re made to fit into real life and real homes.
Maaklik is about slowing down, gathering people together, and enjoying simple moments.

Our Process
Every Maaklik piece is thoughtfully crafted by hand, from raw clay to the final kiln firing. With each stage completed in small batches and by hand, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. The subtle variations in shape, texture and glaze are a celebration of the process, creating ceramics that are as unique as the moments they're made for - and thats the point

Maaklik is proudly Cape Town based, with everything made locally in our studio alongside local makers, designers and businesses for homes, restaurants and spaces across South Africa.
